Picture a life. A huge house in the Northumberland countryside. There’s everything a home is meant to have. A kitchen large enough for family and friends, an AGA at one end, sofas at the other. Log fires in the other rooms. An orangerie for the summer months. A basement given over to a swimming pool, where there are always parties. A garden with a summer house and fairy lights in the trees. A man and a woman live in this house with their three children. Two teenagers and a beautiful five-year-old surprise. Everyone in this house is happy. It used to be my life.
